Giftgarden Virgin Mary Statue

REVIEW

Simple, Beautiful Statue for Your Home, Garden, or even a Grave Site

I got this Virgin Mary statue holding Baby Jesus because it reminds me both of my late mother and also of the love I have for my own children as well as being a Christian symbol. It is simple yet intricate at the same time. It is all white with no other colors. The statue relies on the detailing to stand out and the detailing is very good. Faces are carefully constructed and look realistic, Mary's robe is folded and flows like a real one would, and there are even little stars along Mary's veil which are raised. I have seen resin items everywhere and some are just awful. They have marks and are pocked. They also don't have sharp details. This statue has no marks and no issues with the smooth glazing.

It has a velvet bottom so it will stay in one place and not scratch the surface it is standing on.

In the description, it says that the statue reads "A gift from God" but there is no writing or imprint at all on it. I don't even know where print would go on something like this. The statue is lightweight. I would prefer it to be a bit heavier to avoid accidental tipping over if someone bumps against the shelf or table where it is standing. Otherwise, it is a beautiful piece and fits into anyone's decor.

I considered leaving it on my mother's tombstone at the cemetery but I think it might get broken or even stolen out there in the elements. It's sitting on a shelf in my home and I think it looks beautiful. With Christmas around the corner, this would make a nice decorative piece for the season. It is a lovely gift as well.

*I received this item for free to evaluate.I think it is great but would love if it were a tad heavier although it has not fallen over or been knocked down. It's a good symbol of Christianity of that is something you are into or someone you know is.
